About

Christina Nuki is a SAG Eligible, AEA actress & musician. She received her B.A. in Music from UCLA, and her Masters in Music from the Manhattan School of Music. She has performed in Baayork Lee's National Tour of The King & I with Stephanie Powers, The Papermill production of The King & I with Carolee Carmello, and has performed in regional productions of Miss Saigon, Hair, and Jekyll & Hyde. Off-Broadway shows include: The Remarkable Journey of Prince Jen, Blackout, and Warrior Sisters by the late Fred Ho.

 

In Opera, she has performed leads in Rigoletto, Undine, Die Zouberflote and Romeo and Juliet. In Europe, she headlined the East/West International Music Festival, and participated an internationally televised event with Jose Carreras. For 2 years she was the Soprano Soloist in Beethoven 9th Symphony at the St. John The Divine Cathedral in NYC on New Year's Eve. She was awarded Finalist in the Palm Springs Opera Guild of the Desert, as well as the Opera Guild of Southern California.

 

Recordings include: Year of the Tiger by Fred Ho, Rappaccini's Daughter by Daniel Catan, Remarkable Journey of Prince Jen, and the single "Good Morning Heartache" with Fred Ho.

Christina, also known as Christina Akerson, is a voice teacher with her own studio in Albuquerque New Mexico. Specializing in singing technique that spans the styles of Opera, Pop and Broadway.

In film and tv, she worked on Sister Act II: Back in the Habit, and most recently appeared in a Christopher Roybal web series "Carinos". She has also worked in local commercials and print-ads.

 

Having lived in New York City for 14 years, she honed her acting skills at HB Studios NYC, and the Weist-Barron Acting School. She has since been taking local Seminars with casting directors in Albuquerque.

 

Christina Nuki is represented by Lynette O'Connor at the O'Agency, a community leader of Albuquerque New Mexico, who has recieved a SAG Lifetime Achievement award.
